This Pachanga Box special Pachanga Box for Riverdale students is featuring snacks from 9 different LATAM countries! Expect snacks from Argentina, Brazil, El Salvador, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala and Venezuela! So get your dancing shoes on because we are dancing some Tango and munching on international Snacks! 💃
There are quite a bit of snacks featured. For quick and easy search, try pressing the [ctrl] + [f] keys and type in part of the name of the snack. Also, this list may include snacks that are not part of your box. Depending on availability, some Pachanga Boxes have slightly different snack configurations, but don't worry, they all have the same amount of snacks :) Ps. Fruitfuls
These hard candies with cherry flavor filling are sure to bring some joy. These type of candies are ubiquitous in Latin America, this is the Argentinian twist. 🌪️ Speaking of twists, did you know the rollercoaster Torbellino (aka "Twister") in Parque de la Costa, Buenos Aires is among the tallest and faster coasters in Latin America? In fact, Argentina has the second most roller coasters in South America - only second to Brazil!

Brazil
7 Belo
Seven Heaven, and these are sure to take you there! In truth, the name of this snack means 7 lovely when translated to English from Brazilian Portuguese - interestingly enough, there are a number of other co-official languages in Brazil, such as Nheengatu and Karu.
Enjoy these tasty chewy candies with a kick of raspberry flavor 🍓 Also Brazil is the 7th largest country in the world by land area and by population... coincidence? I think not!

Butter Toffee
The name says it all - these toffees are lemon flavored. Simple, but perfect 🤩 Brazilians love their lemonade and so do we! After this treat, why don't you try making their world famous Brazilian Lemonade (or as they call it, "Swiss Lemonade... it's complicated) with this recipe

Ecuador
Tango - Clasico
Don't worry, you won't need to Tango to enjoy these vanilla flavored cookies filled with cream and covered with chocolate, but if you do, I'm sure they would be even tastier 💃 Ps. Try dipping it in milk or coffee for extra flavor points! Ps. Tango is a dance typically associated with Argentina; however, Ecuador has their own iconic dance genre, Pasillo.

Experience a taste of Colombia with Chiclito Limón, a unique and delicious snack that's perfect for any occasion. These crispy corn snacks are infused with a refreshing lemon flavor that will transport you to the sunny shores of the Caribbean coast. Colombia's coastal regions are renowned for their tropical fruits, and Chiclito Limón celebrates this natural abundance. Though abundance might be an understatement - there are thousands of edible plant species in Colombia, curtesy of the Andean Region, Pacific Region and Colombian Caribbean.

Ignite your taste buds with a slight fiery kick! These tiny tortilla chips are packed with the bold flavor of Guatemalan jalapeños. Perfect for adding a spicy crunch to your favorite dips or enjoying on their own. Warning: addictive! 🌶️🔥 These are a bit of a unique snack in Guatemala though. Contrary to perception of many Latin American cuisines, spicy food is not as prevalent in Guatemala. In fact, the Ancient Maya, whose empire encompassed much of modern day Guatemala, used chili for medicine and spiritual rituals instead. The intended purpose was to aid in digestion, eliminate toxins through sweat, and protect against negative energy.

Mexico
Bubbaloo
Who doesn't love bubble gum with a juicy core? Bubbaloo is a classic that every kid in Mexico knows and loves ❤️ Mexico REALLY loves their snacks, they are in the top ten countries with the largest candy retail volume. It's no wonder their snacks are world famous.

Munchies
This classic snack mix combines crunchy Sunchips, bold Doritos, Sun Chips, and flaming hot Cheetos. I'm sure you've seen these in the States; however, they have very real Mexican roots! Doritos were first invented in a Mexican restaurant named Casa De Fritos located in Disneyland and Flaming Hot Cheetos were allegedly invented by Ricard Montañes, a Mexican-American janitor working at Frito-Laay; however, the story is a bit contested 🤔

Chocoretas
Have you ever wished that your old M&Ms had min flavored options? Well your wish has come true, with these chocolate and mint flavored candies that are sure to remind you of M&Ms, but a bit cooler 🥶 Speaking of chocolate, did you know that Chocolate was first invented by the Olmec Civilization in what is now Southern Mexico? Back then it was less of a delicious snack, and more of a ritualistic drink and medicine.

Jamoncillo
Dive into a cloud! This soft Mexican candy is made with just milk and sugar, simmered low and slow for a taste that's sweetly nostalgic. It's like a warm hug for your sweet tooth.🦷 This snack also goes by the name of Mexican Milk Fudge and it's root go way back to the Aztecs and Mayans; however, their version was made from maize, honey and fruits. It wasn't until the Spanish colonization brought sugar and milk(No cows in the Americas before that!) that the contemporary version was created.

Paleta De Cajeta
Cajeta is a big deal in Mexico - basically thickened caramel traditionally made from goat's milk. This little lollipop brings that to you 🐐 Interested in making your own Cajeta? Check out this recipe

What's better than Mango? Tamarindo coated mango candies! Mexico love tamarind, and is featured in a lot of their favorites snacks, but interestingly enough, the the tamarind tree is native to east Africa and was only introduced to the Americas in the 1600s.

Let's keep the fire going with these Mexican classics! These are pineapple flavored hot candy strips with tamarindo flavored filling.

Peru

Peru is renowned for it's ceviche, so we had to include some ceviche flavored banana chips 🍌. Check out this recipe we posted to make your own ceviche! Although ceviche is a dish that is shared amount a number of Latin American countries, Peru's is distinct in that it has notable Japanese influence - due to the sizable population of Peruvian's with Japanese ancestry.

Peruvian spunge cake dipped in chocolate and filled with double manjar (milk based sweet)! 🤪 This would go perfect with some Yerba Mate - Did you know Peru is one of the world's largest producer of yerba mate, a traditional South American drink that's often enjoyed with sweet treats like this one." El Salvador

Think beyond the ordinary - these gummies channel the essence of El Salvador's exotic fruits, from papaya to mango to lesser-known delights! Peruse though the fruits commonly sold in their markets and you'll be awakened to vibrant fruit culture. 🥭 Don't worry if you end up being tempted to buy some and have no pesos - El Salvador's national currency is the U.S Dollar. And if you don't have dollars, you can always pay with their other national currency, Bitcoin!
