Alfajor

Argentina's Alfajores are some of the best in the world 🌎. These are no different. Indulge in these delicious milk caramel filled sandwich cookies covered in yummy white chocolate.

Did you know Alfajor has it's roots in the middle east? When the Iberian Peninsula was under the Al-Andalus period, this tasty treat was adopted. It then spread to Latin America by the Spanish and Portuguese.

Bon o Bon Alfajor

This is a chocolate version of the famous Alfajor. Which did you like more, the white or dark chocolate variant? We can't decide 😅

Bon o Bon

Story time: Bon Bon's brand was one of the brands that created the "Semana de la Dulzara" in Argentina. It is a week in the summer where you share a snack for a kiss! All you need to do is say "Un Bon o Bon por un beso" (A Bon o Bon for a kiss). We aren't in Argentina, but it might be worth a try 🫣 Even if it doesn't work, you'll be left with a delicious wafer with chocolate flavors! It's a win-win if you ask me!

Don Satur

Let's switch it up a bit and jump into savory town. These salty crackers have been a staple of Argentinian's culinary culture for over 50 years! They pair perfectly with Yerba Mate, a delicious tea with it's origins in Latin America that has recently grown in popularity.  Don't fret if you don't have some though, any nice tea will work 🍵

Did you know more than 60% of Yerba Mate comes from Argentina?

Fruitfuls

These hard candies with cherry (+ others!) flavor filling are sure to bring some joy. These type of candies are ubiquitous in Latin America, this is the Argentinian twist. 🌪️

Gotitas de Amor

Gomitas de Amor, or "little gummies of love," are a sweet tango for your tastebuds! These hard candies burst with a delightful mix of flavors, each one a tiny beso of sugary goodness.  Did you know Argentina is famous for its tango? Just like those passionate dances, these candies will sweep you off your feet! 💃🍬

Mantecol

This is a very unique bar made of pasta, but not the pasta you are thinking of, but rather peanut based pasta  🥜 It is also flavored with some delicious cacao! This is staple in Argentina.

Opera

These little orange flavored wafers have been around since 1905 (though mine only lasted a few minutes)!  With that comes a lot of history! Originally named "Obleas Bagley", they were renamed to Opera in homage to the opening of the now world famous TeatroColón opera house in 1908 🎶

Palitos de la Selva

These chewie vanilla candies have a little more than meets the eye. Each comes with a little drawing of an animal and tells you all about it. It also comes with a little riddle for those looking to show off their Duolingo skills! Let us know if you solved it!

Punch

These tiny Punch candies pack a golpe of fruity flavor! Don't let their size fool you, they're like little flavor explosions in your mouth. Argentina is known for its love of fútbol (soccer), and these candies have the same kind of energetic kick!  Get ready to score big on taste! ⚽🍬
