February 2024 Pachanga Box - Argentina!

Snack List!

This month's Pachanga Box is featuring Argentina with a bit of a Valentine's Day theme ❤️! So get your dancing shoes on because we are dancing some Tango and munching on Argentinian Snacks!  💃

There are quite a bit of snacks featured this month. For quick and easy search, try pressing the [ctrl] + [f] keys and type in part of the name of the snack. Also, this list may include snacks that are not part of your box. Depending on availability, some Pachanga Boxes have slightly different snack configurations, but don't worry, they all have the same amount of snacks :)  Ps. If you're loving this, share it on instagram and tags us! @thepachangabox

Note: The expiration date on these snacks may be using a different date format that you may be using. Many snacks in Argentina use the Day/Month/Year format so please make a note of that when reading it.

Alfajor de Chocolate Blanco

Argentina's Alfajores are some of the best in the world 🌎. These are no different. Indulge in these delicious milk caramel filled sandwich cookies covered in yummy white chocolate.

Did you know Alfajor has it's roots in the middle east? When the Iberian Peninsula was under the Al-Andalus period, this tasty treat was adopted. It then spread to Latin America by the Spanish and Portuguese.

Alfajor Clasico

Imagine pillowy alfajor clouds ☁️ cradling a sunshine swirl of dulce de leche , so good it'll make your eyes do the happy dance . One bite and you'll be saying "adios" to ordinary treats - these are pure, chewy, can't-stop-won't-stop deliciousness with a chocolate cover!

Alfajor de Chocolate Negro

If white chocolate isn't you thing, here we have some of the dark chocolate variety. I couldn't decide which is better so I ate both at the same time. 🤪

Bon O Bon Barra

This is a crunchy crunchy bar ("Barra") made with cereal and caramel - covered in delicious chocolate. I'm not sure if the flavor or little heart on the wrapper but I'm in love with these 😍

Bizcocho Salado

Let's switch it up a bit and jump into savory town. These salty crackers have been a staple of Argentinian's culinary culture for over 50 years! They pair perfectly with Yerba Mate, a delicious tea with it's origins in Latin America that has recently grown in popularity.  Don't fret if you don't have some though, any nice tea will work 🍵

Did you know more than 60% of Yerba Mate comes from Argentina?

Bon O Bon Choco-Fresa

Story time: Bon Bon's brand was one of the brands that created the "Semana de la Dulzara" in Argentina. It is a week in the summer where you share a snack for a kiss! All you need to do is say "Un Bon o Bon por un beso" (A Bon o Bon for a kiss). We aren't in Argentina, but it might be worth a try 🫣 Even if it doesn't work, you'll be left with a delicious wafer with strawberry and chocolate flavors! It's a win-win if you ask me!

Cereal Fort Lady

I am not sure if building a fort out of white chocolate cereal bars will keep out your enemies, but it's definitively worth a tasty try!  🗡️

Corazoncitos Dorin's - Limón

These corazoncitos (hearts ❤️) are lemon flavored and are a tasty snack to share. Don't worry, I promise they won't sour the mood.

Dos Corazones

Before you jump into devouring this tasty milk chocolate snack, know that it comes with a little love poem/phrase! Share with a loved one, or keep all to yourself (like me 😈). As you may imagine, these snacks are very popular on Valentine's Day!

Flow Cereal - Frutas Del Bosque

Let's switch gears and try an Argentinian granola bar! This bar comes with almonds, sunflower seeds and bits of strawberry 🍓, raspberry and cherry 🍒. Warning: You may have a sudden urge to ditch your Nature Valley Granola bars after trying these

Flyn Paff

Don't count this little guy out. These apple 🍎🍏 flavored chewies pack a flavor punch!

Mantecol

This is a very unique bar made of pasta, but not the pasta you are thinking of, but rather peanut based pasta  🥜 It is also flavored with some delicious cacao! This is staple in Argentina.

Mint Chocolate

The name says it all! A hard candy with mint 🍵 and chocolate 🍫 flavors - no matter the country, these two flavors can't keep their hands from each other!

Opera

These little orange flavored wafers have been around since 1905 (though mine only lasted a few minutes)!  With that comes a lot of history! Originally named "Obleas Bagley", they were renamed to Opera in homage to the opening of the now world famous TeatroColón opera house in 1908 🎶

Palitos De Selva

These chewie vanilla candies have a little more than meets the eye. Each comes with a little drawing of an animal and tells you all about it. It also comes with a little riddle for those looking to show off their Duolingo skills! Let us know if you solved it!

Paraguitas

Unfortunately this Paraguitas (umbrella) was a bit too small for the rain, but the cacao flavor was a great consolation prize while getting drenched 💧 Note to self: Buy a bigger umbrella...

Rhodesia

This lime flavored biscuit named after the creator, Edelmiro Carlos Rhodesia and in honor of his daughter Melba

Saladix Horneados

Have you ever tried cheese pizza flavored cookies? Well now you have! 🍕

Surtido Diversion

If you like variety (which I know you do!), you're going to love these! These come with chocolate chip cookie, vanilla cookies, strawberry flavored cookies  and much more! Get you milk out for the perfect paring 🥛
